PJMF was set up in 2017 as a charity organization to help poor patients and their families in India. The organization works closely with Relief From Cancer, a US-based non-profit, to identify and fill gaps in access to quality medical care for patients and their families and is setting up a CanKids Hospital Support Unit in Surat to serve pediatric patients and their families in South Gujarat.
